A Basic Introduction to Flocknote
This page contains a range of videos that explain the features and functions of Flocknote. The video to the left is a very basic introduction to the system done by the founder. The videos immediately below are some basics information about emails and text messages. There is also some very basic FAQs.
In the video section that follows, the “inner workings” of the system are discussed. Here is where a Parish molds the software to meet the unique needs of the parish. Group Managers and System Adminstrators will find great information there.

There is CSS code in Advanced/Custom CSS that makes this not visible so that the FAQs first appear closed up instead of the first one already open
Will you need to download software, open an account, and have another set of passwords to remember?
Nope. Flocknote emails and newsletter simply go to the email account you designate when you sign up. Text messages will go to the mobile number you designate when you sign up.
Is this another personal email system?
Nope. It is meant to support group communications. And we can establish any groups we like. The Lectors have a group, the Craft Ministry has a group, Care for Creation has several groups (for the ministry members and another for folks who want to stay connected with the group’s newsletters.)
Can I reply to messages and emails? Can everyone read my replies and comments?
Yes, you can reply – that’s what makes it a two-way communication tool. Flocknote allows you to mark your replies and comments “private” – in fact, that is the default setting. Only the “group admin” – e.g., the ministry leader who sent the note – will be able to read your comment.
When I sign up will I be able to join parish groups?
Yes, that is also part of the sign up process.
Is this system safe?
Flocknote meets all the requirements of the Diocesean Safe Environment program and uses super-secure encryption and TLS protocols.
Why aren’t I receiving my Flocknote emails from the Parish? I am getting the text messages without problem!
Our experience shows us that sometimes new users are receiving the emails, but they are not opened because they did not “land” in your email Inbox. Sadly, they are languishing in your Junk (or Spam) folder. No problem. We can help with that! See the details on our Flocknote and my Email page.
