St. Francis of Assisi Church has been providing meals for the PWC shelters for more than 30 years. We support the PWC shelters by providing meals every Saturday all year around. We provide breakfast for two shelters from the first Saturday in April until the last Saturday in October. Then during the winter time we swith to provide dinners from the first Saturday in November until the last Saturday in March.
Several parishioners have asked how does the breakfast work, since we asked for food donations to be deliver on Wednesday, but the breakfast is deliver on Saturday. The breakfast for both shelters must be deliver hot and ready to serve by 7:00 AM and so, my family and I prepared the breakfast at home for the 80 residents using your donations.
Thanks to your donations we are able to continue to assist our brothers and sisters in need. If you would like to donate, but can’t drop the donations on Wednesdays or Thursdays, you can donate non perishable juice, single-serve/wrapped coffee pastries, or gift cards for SAM’s Club, COSTCO, BJS, Walmart, or food Lion.
