Online Giving – Frequently Asked Questions
Blank item
I already give online - will that continue?
Absolutely! If you already give/transfer from your bank (check, ACH or EFT) - there is no need to change. You can still create an account with the new Online Giving System from Our Sunday Visitor. Why? It will be the easiest way to give to collections such as disaster relief, Sister Parish in Peru, special collections, and other emerging needs.
Are there advantages for the Parish?
There are some advantages. With each gift (ACH or EFT), the parish business office has to manually capture the electronic notification, check to see if there are special instructions, ensure the donation goes to the proper fund (e.g. Sister Parish vs. Offertory) - and all that is hand entered in to the parish accounting system. And we are happy to do that! The same hand-entry into the parish accounting system is required for bank checks.
The new Online Giving platform allows us to electronically download all that information and upload into the accounting system in one easy click.
What is most important? Giving gratefully in a way in which you are comfortable!
How do I get started?
1. Create A New Account: Use the "Create your account" button at the top of the page and go to the Our Sunday Visitor/Parish login page and click "Sign In / Create Account."

3. Enter your Personal & Address Information
Be sure to enter information in all boxes. Note: The e-mail address is used as the unique identifer and so must be unique. If for some reason you have another account with Our Sunday Visitor (e.g. at your winter home parish) you cannot use the same e-mail address for both accounts
Payment Information
You can add multiple payment methods with your preferred Bank Accounts and/or Credit Cards. Note: the cost to the parish for donations from Bank Accounts is significantly lower than credit cards, but then we understand that your credit cards have reward programs.

Legacy Giving
Legacy Giving is financial planning that allows individuals to make a charitable gift of estate assets which helps ensure St. Francis of Assisi’s long-term future. Legacy gifts enables donors to make satisfying and, usually, substantial contributions while meeting their own personal and financial objectives. With a legacy gift from your estate, you make a promise to future generations that St. Francis of Assisi Parish will always be there for them.
For more information about the program, please access the Legacy Giving Document or contact Lisa Bongiorno at 703-221-4044 (x223) or via the Contact Form below.
