Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

On the 250th Anniversary of our Nation
Learn about the Devotion

On June 11, 2026, as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Parishes around the country are encouraged to join the bishops in celebrating the consecration of our nation to the Sacred Heart.

To prepare for the consecration, the bishops invited Catholics to pray a Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, drawing daily devotions from the Litany of the Sacred Heart. Sign up to have the Novena devotion delivered to your email on a daily basis (via Flocknote). Join the us from June 3-11 in praying this Novena to the Sacred Heart.

The 250 Works Project

Parishes and dioceses across the country are being encouraged to participate in the Consecration by organizing and completing 250 Works of Mercy or Service – works you are likely already doing in your daily life. Take a moment and let us know how you are living out your faith. We are using Flocknote to record your works (…it looks and acts like a “sign up” but it is just an easy place to capture your good works done for the love of God.)
