Counseling Services

Each Tuesday at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, there is a licensed professional counselor on site in the parish offices. The counselor works for Family Services Fredericksburg, an office of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington Counseling Services.

St. Francis of Assisi Parish and Catholic Charities are partnering to offer Catholic Charities Counselor Peter Drabbant’s services to St. Francis of Assisi parishioners every Tuesday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. by appointment, in the Parish Office.

Peter is licensed as both a professional counselor (LPC) and a drug/alcohol counselor (CAADC / IC-RC) with more than 20 years of counseling experience.  He has provided individual therapy and crisis intervention for both adults and youth; treating those affected with depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder and scrupulosity; trauma; anger; behavioral issues; substance use; and couple/marital issues.  He has provided group therapy for those with personality disorders (DBT), substance use disorders (IOP) and Anger Management groups.
